Mammoth is still open for skiing and snowboarding, but crews from chairlift manufacturer Doppelmayr have been working for weeks on removing and replacing the Canyon Express (Chair #16).
The new Canyon Express will be a top of the line lift from Austrian company Doppelmayr. The seat capacity will be upgraded from 4 to 6 skiers, and while the ride time will remain roughly the same, the lift is expected to transport an additional 800 skiers per hour.
The new Canyon Express is expected to be completed in time for the Winter ’23-’24 season.
